Two leading media in Luxembourg look back at the use of teleconsultation in Luxembourg during and after the COVID crisis

Coup de projecteur sur la téléconsultation

In the "Luxemburger Wort" of 6 December 2022, the article „La téléconsultation persiste au Luxembourg“ (Teleconsultation persists in Luxembourg) underlines the fact that over 3,100 health practitioners have registered for this service and that in 2022 more than 87,000 teleconsultations were carried out. It also states that "the appeal of remote consultation is not about to disappear, but rather will tend to find a place for very specific situations".

A few days later, on 13 December 2022, “L'Essentiel” reported that the eConsult service (a national teleconsultation service set up by the Agence eSanté) had been used by more than 10,000 patients since its launch in March 2020. And a little further on, it is written that "the extension of teleconsultations to other sectors and activities could be considered " and "that players in the hospital and care sector, among others, have expressed their interest in this service, for use cases specific to their domain (e.g. teleconsultations within the framework of long-term stays)".
