The Minister acknowledges the complexity of the digitisation process and stresses that the first-generation DSP needs to evolve. She proposes a pragmatic approach, saying that the DSP needs to be transformed into a second generation that is more user-friendly, with easier access and structured data.

She also underlines the need for an entire system to structure the patient course, with real-time access to all the players involved in the patient's care. She also emphasises the need to take advantage of digitisation to improve the patient care pathway, reinforce patient responsibility and promote the patient-partner concept. Finally, she expressed her commitment to taking the time needed to clarify the vision and the steps to be taken in this process.
