The DSP is gradually taking hold in Luxembourg
In an interview with radio station 100,7, Ian Tewes, CEO of Agence eSanté, highlighted the strong growth of the electronic healthcare record (DSP - Dossier de Soins Partagé) in Luxembourg
To date, more than 1.2 million DSPs have been created, with an increase of more than 200% in the number of accounts activated in the space of a year. The main reasons for this dynamic are the abolition of CDs for medical imaging, making the DSP the main channel for accessing medical images, and the introduction of Direct Immediate Payment (PID - Paiement Immédiat Direct), which encourages doctors to activate their eSanté account.
Today, more than 220,000 patients have activated their accounts, with 2,000 new activations every month and 140,000 documents consulted every month. In one year, the number of activated patient accounts has doubled, while the number of activated doctor accounts has quadrupled.
Ian Tewes also spoke of the efforts underway to facilitate access to the DSP. Agence eSanté is working with the CTIE to explore the integration of the DSP with MyGuichet.lu, which would enable a simplified connection for users.
