Appointment of a new CEO for the G.I.E. Agence eSanté

Ian Tewes, Senior Government Adviser and Coordinator of Digital Health at the Ministry of Health, will become Chief Executive of the Agence eSanté from 1 September 2023. His appointment was unanimously approved at the Agence eSanté Governance Board meeting on 28 July 2023
 

Henceforth, Ian Tewes will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Agence eSanté, in parallel with the current Chief Executive who will retire on 31 December 2023, in order to ensure an optimal and efficient transition of the various ongoing dossiers.

In collaboration with the new Chairman of the Governance Board, Marc Hostert, Government Councillor 1st Class, responsible for digitisation at the Ministry of Social Security, their mission will be to accelerate the digitisation of the healthcare sector, in particular through the HISL (Health Information System Luxembourg) project. The aim of this project is to provide every healthcare professional with direct access to the health information they need to guarantee optimum patient care.

The Board would like to thank Mr Hervé Barge for his invaluable services to the Agence eSanté and wishes the new team in place, Ian Tewes and Marc Hostert, as well as their staff, every success as they continue the process of digitalising the healthcare sector.
