Device allowing pharmacists, laboratories and the CGDIS (Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours) to check the patient's social security affiliation status

This tool intended for pharmacists, allows them to access the secure "mySecu" platform, and enables them to check the affiliation status of persons protected by health and accident insurance, as well as the prescription right of the prescribing health professional.

The service implements article 7 of the amendment to the agreement between the Caisse Nationale de Santé (CNS) and the Syndicat des Pharmaciens Luxembourgeois asbl published in December 2019 and taking effect on 1 February 2020.

Thus, the said Art. 7. stipulates that the CNS undertakes to set up and maintain a digital link with the aim of enabling the pharmacists, that are covered by the agreement, to proceed in a synchronised manner to:

• the verification on the date of the service of the affiliation status of the protected persons on the basis of the unique identification number;
• verification on the date of the benefit of the validity of the accident number, consisting of the reference number of the file of the declared accident at work or commuting accident or occupational disease
• verification, on the date the medical prescription is issued, of the validity of the prescribing doctor's provider code.

Operational since mid-January 2020 and rolled out in all pharmacies.
