From now on it is also possible to activate one’s eSanté account and access one’s electronic healthcare record (Dossier de Soins Partagé - DSP) via MyGuichet.lu.

This forms part of the government’s effort to facilitate and simplify access to digital health services, and thereby accelerate their adoption and the digital transformation of the health sector.

DSP holders who have a private space on the MyGuichet.lu platform will now be able to activate their eSanté account using a LuxTrust product and access their DSP, the secure personal health record under the direct control of the patient. It should be noted, however, that in order to allow access to all, people who do not have a LuxTrust device will still be able to activate their eSanté account and access their DSP via the eSanté portal or via the MyDSP mobile application.

This additional point of access not only contributes to improved care coordination, but also empowers patients to participate in their care pathway. Indeed, in addition to placing patients at the centre of the sharing of their health data between the healthcare professionals involved in their medical care, the DSP's various features enable them to play an active role in their own healthcare. In particular, within their DSP, DSP holders can :

  • grant access rights by registering a healthcare professional in their trusted medical circle (“cercle medical de confiance”), or by providing them with the presence code, which can be retrieved from the DSP;
  • grant access rights to emergency services;
  • submit medical information themselves;
  • express their wishes, for example regarding organ donation;
  • appoint a “DSP assistant”, a trusted person authorised to manage the DSP jointly with or on behalf of the DSP holder. This feature is particularly useful for people who are less comfortable with digital technology, or for parents who want to be able to consult their children's DSP from their own DSP.
