Samuel Danhardt, responsible for Interoperability at the Agence eSanté, took part in this event organised by ETHEL (European Health Telematics Association) and observed the similarity of the challenges between the different countries and their contexts to take full advantage of semantic interoperability*. He then shared the Agence eSanté's strategy on this subject.

* Semantic interoperability is the ability of IT systems to exchange data whose meaning is not ambiguous. It is a requirement to enable health data not only to be shared between different systems or applications, but also to be understood. Semantic interoperability is about conveying the meaning of data.
