Agence eSanté presents the highlights of 2025 and changes to its governance

On Tuesday, 7 July 2026, Agence eSanté invited the press to present its 2025 annual report, which outlines the major events that marked the past year, as well as the changes that have taken place in its governance.

On this occasion, Mr Marc Hostert, Chair of the Management Board, introduced Mr Alexandre Baumeister, Chief Executive Officer, who joined Agence eSanté on 15 June 2026. He also announced that the Annual General Meeting had approved the renewal of his appointment as Chairman of the Management Board for a three-year term, as well as that of the directors comprising the Management Board.

Mr Hostert and Mr Baumeister then reviewed the key developments, noting that 2025 had been a pivotal year for digital health at both national and European level. In this context, they highlighted national initiatives that had had a positive impact on the activation of eSanté accounts and the use of eSanté services, thereby opening up access to eSanté services to more users.

They agreed that the publication of the Regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) represented the highlight of the past year, as it establishes a common legal and technical framework for the exchange and use of electronic health data across the European Union. This framework will facilitate the sharing of health data between healthcare professionals involved in the patient journey, in any EU country.
