A clear commitment, a strong gesture: the DSP at the service of organ donation
In the run-up to World Organ Donor Day on 17 October, Agence eSanté would like to remind everyone that the Electronic Healthcare Record (Dossier de Soins Partagé - DSP) enables all citizens to indicate their wishes regarding organ donation.
Accessible online, this feature enhances transparency and helps healthcare professionals and the patient's immediate family to respect the patient's wishes, particularly in the event of an emergency. In fact, as stipulated by law, this information can be consulted by the doctor in charge of any organ removal, which is crucial in the event of an emergency or critical situation.
To underline the importance of this act of solidarity and raise public awareness of the need to take the necessary steps, Luxembourg Transplant, the official body for managing donations and transplants in Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Security, organised its traditional ‘Spinning Marathon’ on Sunday, 12 October 2025, at which several hundreds of people participated.
